Dr. Jason J. Arellano was born and raised in Queens, New York. He graduated magna cum laude from the The City College of New York with a Bachelor of Arts and then earned his medical degree from the State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center. He completed his general surgery residency training at Nassau University Medical Center, where he was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year as a Chief resident. After residency, he completed advanced training in Minimally-Invasive and Bariatric surgery at Albany Medical Center.
Dr Arellano joined our practice in July of 2014. He specializes in surgery on the gastrointestinal tract, including diseases of the esophagus (reflux), stomach, gall bladder, colon, and hernia repair. In addition to laparoscopic surgery, he has extensive training in both robotic and endoscopic surgery.
