Meet Dr. Jess Wise, the newest addition to our expert team at Long Island Laparoscopic Surgery! 🎉 Dr. Wise brings extensive training and a passion for minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, including robotic weight loss surgery, hernia repair, and GI treatments. With a background from top institutions like Baylor, Stanford, and Loyola, she’s ready to provide world-class care to our patients. Dr. Jess Wise is a board-eligible general surgeon who received her medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2019. Dr. Wise completed a general surgery internship at Baylor College of Medicine, a preliminary post-graduate residency year at Stanford College of Medicine, and her general surgery residency experience at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in June of 2024. She joined the team at Long Island Laparoscopic Surgery in August of 2024 as a fellow through the Fellowship Council for additional experience in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Wise is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the Association of Women Surgeons, the American Hernia Society, and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Wise’s clinical interests include robotic weight loss surgery, minimally invasive gastrointestinal and colon surgeries, abdominal wall hernia surgery, treating gallbladder disease, and endoscopy/colonoscopy.
